How should I log in the exercise I get from work?

I don't imagine its a big deal but I'm having trouble staying in my calories because when I get off work I'm super hungry and I already ate my days calories before work and I hate eating afterwards because I get off at like 2 a.m. I work 6 hours a day for about 5-6 days a week in a fast food joint and I am constantly walking and probably at least 3 hours of it is borderline running. I also scrub floors and walls, etc. So I have 4 options, which one should I do?

1 - change my settings to "Lightly Active: Spend a good part of the day on your feet (e.g. teacher, salesman)"

2 - change my settings to "Active: Spend a good part of the day doing some physical activity (e.g. waitress, mailman)"

3 - log in 6 hours of one of the forms of walking onto each day that I work

4 - or just try to go to sleep and ignore my stomach

What do you think I should do? I'm leaning more towards the settings but I don't know if I'm doing the same activity as a waitress because I've never done it but I know I do more than a teacher.

Definitely change your activity settings; don't log work. Try the same setting as waitress. If you don't lose any weight after two weeks, then bump it down to lightly active.

I had to change my settings from sedentary, then to lightly active, then finally active because I was losing weight faster then my weight-loss goals.

And, I work a desk job (paralegal), but I'm plenty active outside of that.

You just need to find the setting that works for you.

Nope, do not log your work activity, as it's already included in your activity settings.

I take it you have yourself currently listed as Sedentary?

If so, change your status to Lightly Active and see how that goes.

If you find yourself losing more than you "should," then up your activity level to Active and reevaluate.
