Withings Pulse synchronization Qs

So today is day 1 of using the Pulse + logging food. (Welcome back to me!)

This morning I worked our (cardio) for 50 minutes (35 elliptical, 15 rowing). I didn't log the exercise to see what the Pulse would do, but it recorded a good number of steps during my workout.

According to MFP, I'm currently at -70 for exercise cals with the adjustment. How does this work? Will the Pulse adjust and add in extra calories for the day if I'm completely sedentary? Or is it saying that even with exercise, I still don't move enough every day?
