Snacks for a Car Ride

Looking for some good ideas. Next month will be driving from Boston to DC. Now of COURSE there are fast food establishments that will be calling my name along the turnpikes, but I would like to stay good.

Any suggestions for really yummy snacks that aren't too messy but good on the go?

    Nuts, popcorn, bring a cooler for some fresh veggies and fruit. Just pack up food before you go so that you're not tempted by the crap along the road!
