Are your MFP friends only online friends, or more than that?

So I started this MFP journey with NO expectations of meeting friends. Just logging calories and exercise. But I am amazed at how people that started as total strangers have become a great source of motivation and support for this fitness journey. Many times more than my real life friends and family. So I am curious, have any of you out there moved a few of your new MFP friends into the "real friends box"? Therefore knowing your identity, history, etc? Or do you remain MFP friends only?

I know a couple people on FL in real life, but I knew them prior to joining - so they don't count. There are a couple I would love to be friends with in life (like hanging out/going to the gym) if we weren't geographically challenged. But they know my real identity and history. so I guess they're in the "real friends" box.

I have several MFP friends that I am now friends with on Facebook. I have even met one of my friends in person. He is from the UK...I am from Colorado. We got to be good friends over the course of about a year and a half and we decided to meet in NYC last month. It was a great trip. I was like you...I didn't expect to make so many friends on MFP...but I now have lifelong friends. It's been a lot of fun and there is so much support!

Well... I am still new to the real online stuff...so right now everyone except my son are MFP only.... I will make progress tough...=0)
