Food Diary - What should I track?

I have calories, fat, carbs, protien, sugar, and fiber. I would like to add sodium, but can only do 6, what should I really be tracking?

    I would change out sugar for sodium. Unless your eating food with alot of both then not sure. My Iphone app keeps track of my sugar but I know most of my sugar comes from fruits and veggies and maybe my grains. So I am not too worried. I know if I eat something bad it generally has alot of sugar. I like to know my cal, prot carb sodium and fiber

    What you choose to track is up to you. If you have a medical issue and the doc is concerned with cholesterol you would want to track fats and sugars. If you are diabetic you would want to track carbs and sugars. High blood pressure you would track sodium.... etc.
