I work away in a camp with not really many good options so I need some good options that would be anywhere. I might be able to work some magic and ask the camp to bring in a couple things but it probably wouldn't happen. Please help me find some better options

i can help you with that Pags. Pizza, cake, ice cream, cookies, pasta, and Twix bars would be quality examples of "good" carbs. I ate all of those while losing a ton of weight and damn, were they good0 -
I love Hostess and Little Debbie's products. I had a SnoBall for the first time in a long time the other day, it was delicious0

Wholemeal and whole wheat varieties of bread/pasta/rice tend to help keep you fuller for longer so IMO are "good"0

a carbohydrate is simply a macronutrient...there are no such things as "good" or "bad" carbs...just carbs. Obviously you're going to have more nutrient dense options and less nutrient dense options...for example, fruit and vegetables are going to be your most nutrient dense carbohydrates and a soda is probably going to be your least nutrient dense as it is only sugar.
Carbs are just the latest in a long line of dietary boogie man...personally I think most people on the SAD could stand to cut back on carbs but that's only because the SAD is seriously lacking in balance. About 40% of my diet comes by way of carbs...30%protein and 30% fat. I get my carbs from any number of things but try to make sure I'm getting 4-6 servings of vegetables daily and usually a serving or two of fruit...other than that, if my nutritional needs have been met I don't really worry about the source of my carbohydrates.0 -
