very confused!

my bmr cal. are 1246, does this mean in order to lose a pound i have to cut out 500 cal. per day? Thats only 746!! :(

    No. You should eat what MFP tells you to eat - MFP takes your BMR (which is what you burn lying in bed doing NOTHING), adds the calories you burn on a normal day - based on your activity level that you set, and then subtracts the 500 calories for you to lose weight. (This isn't counting exercise - if you exercise, you can eat more!) Don't overthink it - let MFP do the math for you. As long as you accurately input everything on the Goals page, it should be fine.
