90 lbs and counting

Just wanted to share this with the MFP community:
After a life long struggle with my weight, an "allergy" to working out and an addiction to chocolate ;-) I had given up on getting back to a healthy weight.
Then almost two years ago I started doing Zumba, as a way to get out of the house, and I liked it so much that a few months later I joined a gym to get more Zumba classes and daycare for the kids. (I have 2 little ones). Not only did I keep doing Zumba but soon enough I joined a weight loss competition with a small group of women and an amazing trainer. That was a year ago.
Now I have lost more than 90 lbs from my highest known weight, 45 just this year, and I am so addictd to working out that I actually go to the gym twice a day, do a lot of different classes including Zumba of course, but also R.I.P.P.E.D, weights, and even walked/ran a the first 5K of my life two weeks ago.
And here is the difference on the face:
I am far from done yet, I still have about 50-70lbs to lose but I already feel so much better and stronger.
If you read this and you haven't started yet, go ahead, you can do it!

Congratulations -- that's awesome progress! Go you!
Congrats, too, on the 5K. I've just recently returned to running and am training for one in March. It will be my first running event since 2002 -- I'm thrilled my old running clothes fit again. :-)
Keep up the great work!0 -
