Strength Program

I searched and didn't find any posts here to answer my question.
I recently started running using the C25K program. I will complete it by the end of this week. I know I will need some strength training as part of my weight loss goal. My question is, do I continue with just running for now (move on to the bridge to 10K) or do I start alternating strength training days? If strength training makes sense, which program makes sense for a relative beginner?
Please keep in mind my primary goal right now is weight loss. I lost 42 pounds since I started and have another 60 - 70 to go.

You can continue your running and work in full-body lifting on your off days. I'd suggest a programs like Stronglifts, Starting Strength, New Rules of Lifting, AllPro, etc.0

Here's a link to a great article: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1091565-lifting-and-running
I would recommend including strength training into your exercise routine. Whether you alternate or do on the same day is up to you and really depends on what your goals are fitness wise (not weight loss wise).
Do you have access to a gym or a bench and barbells?0 -
Start Strength Training immediately. Any of the programs Mia suggested will work fine0

Thanks all. I'll look into the programs Mia suggested.
For now I don't really have access to a Gym or equipment.0 -

Look into body weight programs like You Are Your Own Gym or Convict Conditioning. You won't need any equipment. Good luck!0
