I'm new--figuring out how best to use this site

I've filled out a couple of food diaries so far and have added exercise. I think the forums will help me with motivation. I'm looking forward to progress in losing about 40 pounds. I'm 57 and finding it hard to lose weight and keep it off (lost 10 pounds over last summer with lifestyle changes and gained it back--while keeping the lifestyle changes) so, I'm trying this much more purposeful method. So many of the posts do seem inspirational and helpful; I'm generally optimistic and try to be helpful, so I think I'll be able to make a contribution once I feel a bit more confident.
