Looking for consistent motivation and accountability

34 m here with about 30 pounds to lose. I'm looking for real accountability friends, not just someone to add to the friends list. I've been successful with mfp but am looking to push through to the next goal weight. I will give daily support and will return the favors. We can discuss our diets, workout plans, goals, frustrations, and so forth. Anyone? ?

You can't get "real accountability" from people who have no authority or power over you.

You're going to have to find the discipline for yourself, no matter who's on your friends list.

Hey thanks for those words of wisdom......

I've done well so far but thought it would be fun to travel the road with someone.

The previous response was a little radical. There is never anything wrong with having someone who has similar goals as you to share the journey with.

I disagree with that dude above. I am in a couple of "accountability" groups and they have made the difference in my success so far on my fitness journey! Sure, I have done all the hard work and fed myself the food, but they have kept me going when I felt like being lazy, when I just wanted to skip a workout, I knew they were all waiting to hear how it went, etc. and I would stay in it because of the others that were inspired by me! I have learned so much from all of my new friends and the inspiration I've gotten from these people is off the charts! I touch base with them every day and they are there for me for all of my ups and downs!
