Looking for a Heart Rate Monitor. Suggestions?

Hey everyone!
I got a fitbit one for Christmas, and I adore it. It works splendidly for monitoring my daily activity and sleep. However, I would also like to get a heart rate monitor. My criteria is as follows:
1) Will be used to monitor heart rate during running, hot yoga, and weight training (for better calorie burn recording).
2) Must be compatible with myfitnesspal and/or fitbit.
3) Affordability!
Given my sensible criteria, I don't think I need anything super fancy. I am currently looking at the Polar H7, but would really like some reviews and other suggestions before making my decision.
Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:

I LOVE my Polar FT4. It does not sync with MFP but it's not that hard to just input the calories manually. I got mine for $75, which I think is a pretty reasonable price. I've found it to be spot on in terms of accuracy, and it's really easy to use. Plus the chest strap is considerably more comfortable then many I have tried before.0

Interesting! I just looked it up, and it does seem rad indeed...
So if I am entering my calorie burns manually (based on my HRM read-out) I assume that I would remove my fitbit during the workout so that it doesn't log the activity twice... right? I'm just wondering about the best way to record my fitbit steps AND my heart rate/calorie burn...
Do you use a fitbit or other activity monitor? Or just the Polar ft4?0 -
love my polar ft4. but ask mentioned above, it doesn't sync with mfp. not a biggie for me. comfortable, reliable. inexpensive on amazon.
also, going to sit back and enjoy the upcoming debate about calories burned during hot yoga.

I have the IronMan by Timex and I LOVE IT!! I bought it from Best Buy. It's alittle pricey but you might can find it cheaper on Amazon but I LOVE IT! I had two HRM's prior to this one and this best fits my needs. I use it for weight lifting, cardio, swimming, and HOT YOGA. I don't know anything about syncing to Fitbit or MFP..when I want to track miles I use an app on my phone called MAP MY WALK and it records everything for me. I just wanted something to track my calories, heart rate, time, and split my workouts that could handle the swimming and the heat from hot yoga. Hope this helps. It's the orange and black one. Copy and paste the link below to google and it will pull it right up.
