Calorie change during weightloss

I have been eating about 1400 calories a day which is very close to what MFP suggested for me in order to lose 2 pounds per week. MFP updated my calorie needs today since I've lost weight since last time the calories were calculated. I assumed it would have been slightly less than what I had been eating since weighing less means burning fewer calories. However now I'm told to have 1510 calories a day in order to lose 2 pounds a week. Does anyone know what would cause this?

Did you change your activity level or age?0

If you are more active now your calorie needs could go up. Also as you can more lean muscle mass you burn more calories.0

It sounds like you changed age, activity level or some other factor from your original data. I would double check!0

Hmm, all I clicked on was the button that recalibrates so I wouldn't think that would be it. It looks like all the info is the same. Oh well, I guess I will just stick to 1400 calories for now. Thanks everyone for your help!0

MFP have recently adjusted the calorie allowances for certain activity levels - so this is probably what's come into play here!
