Calorie change during weightloss

I have been eating about 1400 calories a day which is very close to what MFP suggested for me in order to lose 2 pounds per week. MFP updated my calorie needs today since I've lost weight since last time the calories were calculated. I assumed it would have been slightly less than what I had been eating since weighing less means burning fewer calories. However now I'm told to have 1510 calories a day in order to lose 2 pounds a week. Does anyone know what would cause this?
