New to the site.

Hi! I just want to say I love this site. It will make forming meal plans and tracking them so much easier. Hope to lose 75 over the next year to prepare my body for a future heart transplant. Thanks for tracking sodium!

Here is a thread with some good info.

I have been on and off with tracking my intake. I am trying to make this more of a habit than something I let slip and then restart over and over.

Good luck and welcome to MFP
  • This morning I tried different free calorie tracking sites and this one looked good....so I signed up and ready to go. Must say tracking my food was the first hurdle for me....

If you consult your dietician about the sodium intake for your diagnosis then just log every B.L.T(bite, lick and taste) that goes into your mouth and exercise according to your Doctors orders you will do fine. Prayers sent for you and your surgeon for strength and guidance.

Thanks for the replies. I had a cardio visit today and all was great. Doc said I should get down to 220 for the surgery. He was happy I lost 30lbs last year (100 lbs since max weight of 365lbs). Everything is going great for the moment. This ticker should last 5-10 more years I've been told.

G'day mate, congrats on your awesome weight loss! I'm a fellow cardiac patient (congenital defect, fixed with surgery in 2006) and have a godson who underwent a kidney transplant just a week ago. I have total faith that you can do this! Trust in yourself and your doctors! =) Feel free to add me for support - I check in daily.
