Baby steps to better health

Hi everybody!
I'm just starting with MFP on the advice of a Veteran's Administration dietitian, and my favorite part is being able to scan barcodes with my phone to add foods!
I'm a soon-to-be 50 year old mom who has lost and gained back the same 20-25 lbs. several times over my lifetime.
I've lost 15 lbs. over the last four months,and I'm highly motivated to shed an additional 12 lbs. by April, in order to be within Navy weight standards.
Even more than that, I want to get back to feeling energetic, fitting into my smaller clothes, and putting healthy foods into my body.
