MFP Calorie Guidelines

Hi
Sure there is an obvious logic to this, but could do with someone helping explain...
I've so far lost 10lbs (woo!) and MFP has offered to recalculate my daily calorie intake. It has put my calories up by 80 per day.
Obviously this is no big deal, but I assume that as I lost weight I'd have to eat less calories to keep at a loss of 2lb per week.
Can anyone explain why it's put my daily allowance up.
Obviously once I'm nearer goal, I'll look to lose less per week, but for now I want to stay at 2lb per week (3 stone to go).
Cheer in advance.

You'd think it'd go down as you got lighter. Did you change your age or activity level? I saw someone else complain of this recently. Maybe MFP slightly tweak their equations without telling anyone. Either way I wouldn't worry about it too much. 80 calories doesn't mean that much in the long run.0

Cheers for the feedback. I've double checked and definitely no change in relation to my weekly goals, height details, level of activity etc. As you say, 80 calories either way doesn't really matter and I'm usually a 200-300 below my target anyway.

MFP changed the equations for several activity levels, resulting in slight increases.

Thanks for sharing that link. I hadn't noticed, but the automatic protein level had changed. Bump.0 -

Has anyone here actually gotten the warning about extremely low carbs? I have my macro set to 5% (from before December though) and, daily, I never come close to 130g or the 35% they mention being their level for warning you that you're too low.0
