Is the stationary bike just as good as spinning?

Hi, I have thigh issues and many people say spinning helps. My problem is that I'm in college and confined to the gym on campus. The closest thing they have to spinning is a stationary bike. It looks almost the same .. Do you think I can still get results with it?

What do you mean ``thigh issues``?? If you mean you would like to lose weight from there, well you cannot spot reduce; you will lose weight all over. Spinning is more hardcore than stationnary bike, so you would burn a lot more calories in the same amount of time. That said, you will get results with your DIET first. If you have a deficit at the end of everyday, calories wise, you WILL lose weight. Exercice helps too, but it will not define your weight loss. Any exercice is good, be it stationnary bike, or anything else.0
