Adopt A 'Noob' program: My thoughts

Hi new people...
I'd like to personally recommend any of these folks that have started the adoption threads (well most of them, anyway) to any MFP newcomers that are looking for some real educated, and pretty gosh darn smart approaches to helping you achieve their goals. They will NOT attempt to sell you Beachbody or any other MLM crap. (If they do... send me a PM and I'll have my people take care of it).
Here's what's really neat.... if they don't know the answer to your ever-burning question (they probably know the answer, but I digress), they have an already established network of MFP users that do have the answer to assist in guiding you to your goals.
Please don't be shy.... they all started at the same place you are, and they've taken the time to weed through all of the bologna that you'll likely encounter in the forums. They know which advice is appropriate, and which advice is complete crap.
So, in short-- please really do consider reaching out to these fine folks (again, most of them I can vouch for)- and think of it as a mentor / mentee relationship.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over -- all while expecting a different result. Since this likely something new you'd be trying--- why not give it a go? It's not costing you anything, and you can de-friend the person at any time if you're not making a good connection.
I am in no way offering any services in the adopt a noob program. I ain't got time fo dat.
Good luck in 2014!

Even those of us who aren't adding friends or adopting people will still at least respond to questions sent by private message.0

This is a very valid point.
I will respond to appropriate PMs as well.0 -
i guess if the noobs get adopted they won't overload the threads with derp …..but then I won't have anything to do …:(0

I vouch for the voucher.
*I have no, nor have I ever, had any affiliation with the aforementioned voucher, herein referred to as the OP. In fact I doubt she was even referring to me when she posted this thread. But she makes good sense, so you should listen to her. That is all.*0 -

I'm reasonably confident that there will be plenty of excess derp for you to play with.0 -

Is there ever a lack of derp on the forums? I've been here a few years and have yet to see it.0 -

I can not endorse sending Matt a msg and getting a good response. No vouch.
You don't have time to click accept on a friend request but you did have enough time to type a Tldr thread..makes sense.0 -

You never sent a FR. I know this because I never got the opportunity to hit decline.0 -
