I came across a receipe for Dr. Oz's Melon Detox. It is basically 3 cups of melon (I used watermelon) 1 cup of coconut water and one cup of regular water blended until smooth. You are supposed to drink 4 cups a day.
Has anyone tried this?

the fresh fruit cant hurt but just plain water is enough of a "detox".... the body detoxes everytime you take a bath (via pores) and/or flush the toilet...nuf said0 -

It sounds more delicious than most of the other detox concoctions I have read about. I love watermelon and coconut. You would definitely get in your water for the day. Personally I would rather eat the watermelon, but if someone would rather drink it, that's ok too. Just keep all the fiber in it by using a blender instead of a juicer.
Extra water in your diet is usually a good thing, just be sure to count the calories in the watermelon and coconut oil. And if you have a problem with sugar levels, make sure the sugar in the melon doesn't put you over your limit.
And by all means, do NOT use this as your only source of calories.
Not sure what it will actually Detox tho.0 -

Ok, 3 cups of watermelon and 1 cup of coconut water has 182 calories, 46g Carbs, 39g Sugar, 1g Fat, 3g Protein, and 2 g Fiber.
Not sure if this is the total amount you are to drink a day, or if you drink this total 4 times a day, but plan your daily cals and macros accordingly.
A full sized Snicker bar has 250 cals, with only 27 g of sugar, 33 Carbs, 12g Fat, 4 g Protein, and 1g Fiber.
Hmmm, I'm thinking Snickers wins in my book.0 -
