I always used the steam room for more of a zen appeal after a hard workout. I really enjoyed it. I stayed in about 12 minutes usually, sometimes longer though. It always opened up my breathing and made me relax a whole lot. Felt really good. There are some people that swear the steam room is "cooking your insides" but you know...they're out there. Make sure you hydrate yourself, and if you feel the slightest bit light headed, get out and drink some water. As with anything, there are always precautions. Just give it a shot.0

My gym membership recently lapsed and there are no funds to renew right now but I am missing the steam room. Sweating is so healthy! I always bring in a clean dry washcloth. I don't like it dripping in my eyes. So water and a clean towel or cloth. I shoot for 10 min but sometimes it needs to be less. I like to finish my workouts there and then shower. Toxins gone! I just feel better and it is ohhhh soooo relaxing! My muscles just melt after a tough work out!
Enjoy!0
