Welcome to the New Kids ; Don't get discouraged!

The onslaught of new people must be here, for it is a New Year!

Most people think this is ridiculous (like they complain about an influx of people at the gym this time of year) ... but I think it's lovely and should be embraced.

GOOD FOR YOU FOR WANTING TO BETTER YOURSELF!

Having been here since 2012, I just wanted to welcome you all and encourage you to NOT get discouraged.
So, welcome! :)

It'll be tough, but it will be so, so, SO rewarding. This site is a great resource ; spend some time playing around with your settings and figuring out what works for you.

In my time here since my pregnancy, I have lost over 57lbs over 60".
I'm wanting to lose the last 20-30 this year.
And I will succeed.
:)

So, welcome to the rest of your life.
It won't be a quick fix, but find yourself some MFP friends who challenge you, encourage you, and make no excuses for you .. and if you're consistent and accountable to yourself, you're sure to go far.

Happy New Year!
You've already decided that you want this, so know that you can do it.

Thank you for the word of encouragement.

As a new face around here (I actually created an account a few years back) I am very excited to begin sifting through the site, and finding what new tools are now available for me to achieve my goals.

I am actually glad to say that back in 2011 I had entered my weight in as 180, and I now stand here a girl who hasn't thought about my weight in six months a surprising 160. So I guess I still have some work to do (GW: 135) but I am going to start holding myself more accountable for keeping up with my goals. :)

Thank you again, and best of luck on your weight loss/healthy living journey!

Hey, thanks! I've never made new year's resolutions before but felt inspired this year. And weight loss is the most popular resolution. I've heard only about 8-10% of people actually achieve NY resolutions...I'm hoping I'll be in that 8%!
