Probably not the first New Year Resolution babe on here!

Hi everyone, I've been using Myfitnesspal on my creaky Android for a while and love it (who else plays randomly with the bar code scanner just for the fun of it? - admit it?! Oh OK, maybe it *is* just me then!). After hitting an all-time high before Christmas due to an injury in September which kept me away from my beloved hobby of mountaineering I decided last week that something had to be done about it. I have done Weight Watchers before but frankly got a little irritated with how corporate it was and think I prefer the freedom of not having an actual eating plan and counting points - I know I'm counting calories just the same but it feels a little less rigid. I'm following the WW idea of not counting vegetables (apart from potatoes, sweetcorn, avocado, the usual culprits) so I don't record those on here but it is just such an innovative website and I am looking forward to getting to know a few people on here. I'm in Wales. I have about 2.5 stone to lose - 35lbs sounds a lot scarier! Anyway, ladies and gents, all the very best of luck to us all, new and old, and please do get in touch.
