A Question for the fit vegetarians

I did my TDEE and macros and I'm supposed to be getting 90 or so grams of protein a day. Normally I'm about 15-20 grams shy of that but I'm a vegetarian *duh-the title* and don't want to add meat into my diet. I also don't have a lot of spare calories at the end of the day and am kinda nervous/lost when it comes to protein powder. Plus they're so expensive! If protein powder is the way I have to go I guess I'll deal but I would like an alternative that's natural and a little easier on my wallet.

Quinoa, tempeh, unsalted raw nuts, greek yogurt (NOT the regular stuff) and cottage cheese are a few of my protein staples!

If you are lacto ovo you can have the dairy and eggs. If not, you may want to stick to things like quonia, tofu & legumes for protein.

If you are not gluten free my favorite protein is seitan. There are some great recipes you can make yourselg (buying seitan is expensive). I prefer the baked, not boiled recipes. Seitan is made of wheat gluten though, so won't work if you avoid gluten

i wouldn't call myself fit (yet), but I am a vegetarian. Besides protein powders/bars, my protein staples are:

    greek yogurt
    eggs
    cheese
    tofu
    faux meat products

I have my protein set at 115 g.

Boca vegan burgers. 10g protein and only 80 calories. The gardein beefless tips and turkey roast are also very protein heavy for relatively low calories.

Aside from the obvious question of whether your calculations are correct for protein amounts, there are lots of options: Tofu, Nuts, Tempeh, Nut Butters, Legumes of all kinds, Vegetables (yep, vegetables), Seitan -- no meat or dairy. The web is a great resource for how to eat healthy as a vegetarian, as a vegetarian athlete or a lazy vegetarian (like me). Start searching "forks over knives" and see where you go!
