If I have one on days that my protein is lacking, but stay in my calorie budget, is this an reasonable supplement, or bad idea?

Sounds reasonable to me. I'm wondering what would make you think it's not a good idea?

I searched "Smoothies" and found the "Smoothie Only Diet," which was met by opposition. I assumed it was due to the lack of variety of nutrients, in said diet, but figured I'd throw it out there to be sure.

Meal replacement shakes are generally frowned upon on here, but supplementing is fine.

Ok. That's pretty much what I thought, but didn't want to start something that could be counter-intuitive to eating healthy.
