Fitbit Zip and MFP calorie difference

Options
Hi, I just activated my fitbit zip today, and there's like a 400-500 calorie difference between what fitbit says I will burn as my TDEE and my mfp TDEE settings for lightly active. Would it be better to have mfp set to sedentary to match closer with the fitbit projection? I'm pretty sure fitbit's numbers may be coming from the assumption that the user is sedentary.

Any input or experience in this would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

The Fitbit will adjust that 'sedentary' estimate up as you move throughout the day. Leave MFP set to lightly active.

I just start with FitBit the first of the year. From everything I have read on it, FitBit is pretty accurate. I am set to sedentary as I have a desk job.
