Is it ok to log workout the next day

I did a 1000 calorie workout today but without adding it, I am already under calorie goal. Since it is the weekend, which means less exercise and more eating, is it ok if I log today's burn in tomorrow or Sunday diary, so that I do not see reds. This is sort of banking extra calories for future use.

Either way, you know how much you worked out/ate. The MFP policemen aren't going to come get you if you have red. It's just there to remind you that you went over/under for a day. In my opinion, just log the exercise the actual day you did it. That way, if you ever want to look back on old logs, you can see what you accurately did. The logging is here for you--not anyone else, so it's really about how honest you can be. I've had days that I've overeaten. The numbers are in red. It is what it is and I learn from it.

    All best to you!

I think I will eat a dozen cookies and add them next month. Kinda the same thing isn't it?

Add it today for accuracy, but if you want to look at your calories over a week period rather than day to day I've seen many people do that.

Yes, it's fine to rollover calories or exercise credits within a couple day window. Your body doesn't work on a strict 24 hour clock- the weekly averages are far more important than the daily numbers.

It's your diary. It's not going to make any difference to your weight loss whether you record it in your diary for today or tomorrow. Your body doesn't know which day you record it. If seeing the red numbers is discouraging to you, go ahead. I don't think it would be a good idea of carrying over extra exercise calories beyond a weigh-in --- that is, if you weigh yourself once a week, don't carry them over from one week to the next, because once you see that lower number on the scale, it's probably going to frustrate you if that carryover means you're not at deficit the next week, or not as at big a deficit as you think you are, and consequently you don't lose, or don't lose as much, or even gain the following week. So if you weigh yourself every day, I wouldn't carry exercise over from one day to the next.
