Scale moving up

Ok so I am back here again and I am sorry for all the questions that I keep posting...but I am determined to try and get this right ...I am trying to be healthy and make wise food choices but I weighed myself and already the scale seems to be moving up ...how do I stop myself from getting disheartened ...this is when I usually start to panick and think that I am doing it all wrong...can anyone reassure me that they too saw an increase before a loss ? I did make myself some low fat soup yesterday and had 2 massive bowls could this be the reason ?

Stop weighing yourself so often. Your weight will naturally fluctuate from day to day irrespective of what you eat. Stick to weighing once per week or even once per fortnight. If your weight is still up at that point, reassess what you've been doing then. Other than that, eat the calories MFP set for you, eat back some of any exercise calories, and trust the process.

soups tend to be fairly high in sodium. excess sodium, in turn, causes water retention. So I would have to guess the soup as the culprit. The water weight will dissipate in a day or two and you'll be back to your previous number or lower, almost a guarantee there.

Sodium, time of the month, ovulation, new or increased exercise are all things that may show an "increase" on the scale, but all are temporary water retention.

My advice is to keep going , and if you still see an increase or no change after a couple weeks, stop and take a closer look at your calorie intake.

I generally avoid low fat foods and no fat foods because I end up eating more. Just eat normal foods, but less of them

Weigh yourself at once a month, if you can't help yourself then once a week. Your body weight fluctuate a lot during the day and constantly weighing yourself is just going to be disheartening.
