At-home ideas for 30 minutes of cross training?

Maybe there's a good guide out there that I'm missing, but what would be a good 30 minute cross training workout? I was considering a bike ride, but my guess is I would want to make sure it wasn't a leisurely bike ride if that was the case. Should I do Jillian Michaels video?
FYI, I'm training for a 1/2 marathon using the Hal Higdon Novice 1 program, and today is my 30 min cross train day (but no examples on how to cross train from home).
Thanks!

My understanding for what you need is just something that isn't running. Since that will make up the majority of your other exercising. If I were you I would incorporate some kind of circuit training like an Insanity or P90X, or there is a great book / app called You Are Your Own Gym that can build a workout program using only your own bodyweight and objects that most everyone has around their house.
If you already have the Jillian Michaels video I would say to go ahead and do that to see how you like it. I don't know what is on that program, so I can't really comment on it specifically. But one thing that has helped me to complement my running is to do some strength training in a circuit based program. What that means is to do a lot of resistance exercises (think push ups, pull ups, squats, lunges, etc...) quickly and with minimal to zero rest between exercises. This will give your muscles a nice workout AND will also give you a cardio workout at the same time.
Best of luck to you and feel free to message me if you have specific questions about any of what I've written.0 -

Awesome, thanks for your advice! I think I'm going to start with either an Insanity video (like you mention) or JM 30 Day Shred video.. both of which are very intense and not running.0
