Pushing yourself harder than you think you can

It's amazing what our bodies can do! I was really proud of myself today for trying a couple of workout videos that pushed me, something new. I still have about 85 pounds to lose before my goal weight and I get nervous of new exercises after a long-healing foot injury this last fall and an annoying ankle from a teenage injury/surgery. I know it's silly, but I guess I thought that because I can't do a pushup, I can't do a plank....which is completely not true!!! And learning to explore new exercises, I've found, is the key to getting passion for working out. I LOVE kick boxing, biking, swimming, and when all the stars align, I don't mind jogging. I didn't realize how boring that elliptical that I've clung to really is.
I guess what I'm saying...try something new, try something harder
I have never been one to enjoy sports or exercise, not really even since youth. But now that I've figured out my style, I can't wait to get started on my membership next week at the Y-not because of the calories burned, but the FUN I will have!
I guess what I'm saying...try something new, try something harder
