advice on triggers

I haven't been back here for a few days.
I've been cheating on this diet.
So, I thought I'd seek advice.
The members of my household keep the place supplied with my trigger foods.
How do you deal with temptation when you can't eliminate the food items you need to avoid?
I've tried to ignore them.
It's hard when 1, I know they are there and I want them,
And 2, it's even harder when people eat in front of me.
Cooperation is a no go.
I'm on my own here.
And I'm failing.
Any advice will be gladly received.

    Regularly logging can help you
Don't think of it as a "diet". Or cheating
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be along
You can't expect members of the household to stop eating them just because you have
IIFIYM - then you can still eat them
    Ignoring sometimes leads to bingeing
Go for a walk. Or leave the room if temptation becomes too much
Unfortunately you will have to learn to deal with this. Or again IIFIYM
Cooperation isn't always necessary. This is about you & your goals
Expand your FL - They will help support you
Don't think of it as failing
Sorry, this is all I've got. Hope it helps :flowerforyou:

I have this problem at work and at home. I buy lower calorie substitutes. So instead of chips, I have a good low cal popcorn. Instead of sweets, I have a low cal pudding. This way I feel like I can have some treats without breaking the calorie bank.

    Log everything.

Pay attention to what foods satiate you, and which foods make you want to go back for more. For me high fat low carb foods satiate me, so I'm not ravenously hungry or dreaming about food all day.
  • Much thanks for all the advice.
