Thinking of starting the GI diet next week & am wondering if anyone out there has success story to report. I have the Rosemary Conley GI jeans book & recipes & wonder how successful others ave been as will mean a lot more food for me.

I'm a Rosemary Conley fan and I have to say the GI is good - but remember portion control and to add the extras such as side dishes when calculating the calories for a meal. I can particularly recommend the chicken with lime and ginger - the whole family really enjoy this and it's not too spicy.

About 3 or 4 years ago I bought a book on the GI diet and followed the principles of eating low GI foods every 2-3 hours. I didn't follow any meal plans or a diet book though, I also didn't count calories or include exercise or anything but I still lost about 7 pounds fairly easily. I think it is more of a "common sense" way to eat than a diet.0
