Hi all, so I really could use some help. I've lost just over 130lbs in the last 4 years. I've plateaued many times on my journey but gave up for a few weeks or months when it happened which wasn't good. I've done it again but ended up putting on 2lbs even though I have been working out more and eating less. I have been told that eating too little and not eating back some exercise calories could be the reason behind this! I could really use some help as I do not want to fall of the wagon again and really want to get to my goal. The problem I have is I'm so much better on a strict diet than knowing I have to eat more calories (which usually makes me reach for fatty foods). Please please help.

Hey, you still can be on a strict diet with more calories!
Or use your old one and add some nuts and fruit, which are super good for you and high in calories
Did you ever calculate your BMR? This would be important.0 -
Wow! 133 loss, congrats. That's terrific.
Have you considered adjusting macronutrient percentages?0 -
Never heard if BMR or macronutrient percentage, I'm just floating by on what I've been thought all my life I guess, "eat less, work out more" but it's not always the best method.0

these arent a 100% correct, but its good as a guidline!

oh and if you do not so already, i would highly recommend some weight training, you build muscles which burn a lot of calories and you get toned0

'Eat less, work out more' works, but only if these things put you in the caloric deficit you need to lose weight without negatively affecting your health.0 -

hi, have just joined and totally in awe of your achievement. A great role model and inspiration. My own experience with plateau is if the enjoyment goes out of it and it starts to feel like a chore or if i get scared of success, i'm used to failure so success is more scary. anyway hope you've found some new motivation good luck!0

Do you log and weigh your food? You could be eating more than you think... which is usually the reason why people plateau. Stalls of a couple weeks are totally normal though.0
