Have Shoe Sizes Changed?

This is a serious question! So over the years, we know that dress sizing has changed, so for example a uk10 today is probably larger than a uk10 20 years ago... but has the same happened to our shoe sizes?! I ask this because I have been a uk size 6 for my entire teenage and adult life, but recently I have found 6s to be too large - in fact the last four pairs of shoes i have all bought have been 5s. I cannot have been wearing the wrong shoe size for 15 years, so what gives? *ideally* I'm probably now a 51/2 but seeing as you can rarely get half sizes, the 5 is preferable to the 6.
So, are our shoe sizings following trend with out clothing? Or am I alone in this madness?!

NO, its not you. I have lost a 1/2 size in my feet. I can no longer wear my size 11 shoes because they flop off my feet.0
