What did you see first

Did you have shrinking measurements or see the lbs coming off significantly first ?

Both at the same time. And then there would be weeks where my weight changed very little, but my measurements did, and vice versa. In the end, it all evens out eventually.

I've been working out for about a month and I've only lost 0.4 lbs but I've lost 7 inches. I think it depends if your doing more cardio or strength training. I do both everyday but I really emphasize strength/weight lifting.

very first? A load of lost pounds. I lost 16 pounds the first 2 weeks I was ever on MFP. I know and understand that it was mostly if not completely water weight, but I didn't care because it was so motivating and rewarding to see. I soon settled down to a much more reasonable and consistent 1.5-2 pounds a week and maintained that rate for a long time.

Recently (since about mid October) I have been completely off the wagon, and just climbed back on and started tracking again on Dec. 29 (my weigh in was the 27th, though I did not record it till the 29th). This morning I weighed in 11.something pounds lighter. I still know that it was not a loss of 11lb of fat, it was water retention and "ladies' time of the month" but I'm still not complaining!!

Everyones different but i saw muscle definition and changes in my body before i saw the scale move. Actually when i set small goals or join challenges, i try and gear them toward non-scale. Ex- how many calories burned per week, how many squats push ups, etc and then try and improve my numbers. Weight fluctuates i just find the scale discouraging sometimes.

I do weight lifting at least 4 days and am trying for 6 days of cardio. Once I see a change whether it be scale or appearance it will be a big mental boost. I already feel more energetic with my change in eating.

I didn't see a scale loss for what seemed like forever, but my clothes started to fit differently and I was losing inches after a couple of months (diet was kind of all over the place at that point). I was lifting 3 days a week then.
