Has anyone injured their achilles? If so how did you heal & work around it. Looking for some suggestions. Thank you to anyone who can offer some sage advice:flowerforyou:

I have had three partial tears to my Achilles (2 on the right, 1 on the left). Best advise is to first see a doctor and get in a boot cast. That will allow it to heal and then you can also get some walking in. If you want to work out concentrate on mostly upper body. It takes awhile for the Achilles to heal properly.

If you don't let it heal it will haunt you. I know from experience. By the time I had the 3rd partial tear I finally learned and the recovery was faster and better.

It's been a long time so maybe my experience is not up to date. When I used to run I would get achilles tendinitis frequently. Doctor would send me to physio who would use ultrasound to speed up healing.

I don't run anymore because I am very injury prone. Took up no impact activities such as speed skating, the elliptical, the rowing machine instead.
