I have a polar FT4, and today on my way to the gym I lost the chest strap and transmitter (whatever the part is that clicks into the chest strap), so now I find myself with just the watch. Has anyone ever been able to buy just those two parts instead of a whole new HRM? :-(

Yes I bought just the strap for a little under $20 (and then found my old strap behind my travel luggage. GRR!!). And I see the strap plus transmitter is on Amazon for around $47. You may also be able to ask around with your friends; maybe somebody bought a polar HRM and decided it was junk; you could hit em up for spare parts. Yikes ! Considering that ft4 new costs about $65, the $47 transmitter is seeming kinda steep now! Sorry! :laugh:0
