Polar F6 finally died. Upgrade to FT7 or F40?

My very old Polar F6 died. I knew it was going and now it finally did. Looking for a new HRM; looking at the FT7 or the FT40. I've looked at the comparison chart on the Polar site and am leaning towards the F40 which I can get on Amazon Prime for $109. I like the fact that it has the fitness test.
Anyone have any feedback on either?
