    I'm of a different school of thought. Once you get the minimum amount of each macro you need, the macros for most of your calories are irrelevant.

    How is that different from IIFYM? I aim for a minimum of protein and fats, then let the carbs fall where they may.

    Exactly right. Once you meet your protein and fat, you can eat spoonfuls of sugar if you want, or you can eat vegan tofu gluten-free low-carb skim organic free-range locavore artisanal quinoa (or any combination you like). I personally have additional requirements for myself (5-a-day fruit and vegetable requirement), but that's my own affair and has nothing to do with IIFYM.

    For me, I track fiber because I have yet to eat more than three veggies in a day, and actually I usually only eat maybe two, one at lunch and one at dinner. Sugar is my favorite! I get plenty of it, so need to track it! lol
