Confused about nutrients

I'm confused. IIYFM says I should have 160g of protein a day and I'm trying to work out how to achieve that.
So - If a 100g tin of tuna has 26g or so of protein and 6g of fat with very little else (apart from micro nutrients)- does that mean the rest (about 68g) is water? And does that assumption hold for other foods?
Does the math then mean I should eat about 7 tins of tuna to reach the 160g goal? Which would be 1100 or so calories out of my 1700 allowance - and also not something I really want to every day!
Thanks in advance
Sue

You mixing apples and pears.
Weight of the tuna = 100 grs.
In this 100 grs you will have macro and micro nutrients which will not add up to 100 grams.
100 gr of Tuna contains 26 gr of proteins and 6 grams of fat - that's all that matters.
If you get a reading of 160 gr of P per day then you will have to eat a bit more than 5 cans of tuna to meet your P macros.0 -
Hi
I don't think i am mixing apples and pears - what you say just confirms that I'm right in my thinking - but thanks.
