Just started back last week. I need to lose 30 pounds. Weighed in today....UP 4 pounds! I have NO IDEA how that happened. I stayed on plan and exercised like crazy. Exercise isn't new for me. I have been running for several years, but I added in weight training and exercise video. How do you stay focused and trying with results like that???????????

You don't panic, first of all. Daily fluctuations are normal. Sometimes even very large fluctuations. Add to that the fact that you added in more exercise than you were previously doing AND that part of it is weight training and the chances are sky high that the 4 pounds is water weight due to your muscles retaining to repair themselves. Don't panic! It is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT a gain of 4 pounds of fat. NOT. It will dissipate over the next few days to a week and most likely take some fat ounces or even pound(s) with it.0
