First week thoughts and reflections

So as my handle would indicate, I believe that food is like any other addition it will be a daily battle for me the rest of my life. I decided this time would not be a diet in the normal sense but an overall change in the way I approach food. Natural Foods is something I believe in after reading a bood by Art Smith who is a celebrity chef for Oprah. He faced his own weight challenges and lost 100lbs. The first week I have dropped 4lbs and didn't really feel like I dieted. Try to eliminate refine sugars and saturated fats. I am not even trying to do it cold turkey. Just making subtle changes. I started a month of go reducing the diet cola intake. I am now drinikng unsweet tea and drink zero carbonated beverages. I never thought that would happen. Taking it day by day and enjoy reading the support and success with everyone else on this site. Stay strong and positive. If you fail one day then you get right back on it the next.
