I WOULD COUNT IT. A MAN'S GONNA PROBABLY USE MORE BUTTER THAN A WOMAN WOULD. CALORIES ARE KIND OF LIKE MONEY. A LITTLE BIT HERE AND A LITTLE BIT THERE AND IT ADDS UP QUICK!!! WHEN I MAKE SCRAMBLED EGGS I ALWAYS ADD MY 1 TBSP OF OLIVE OIL.

One tablespoon of butter=102 calories. 2 tbsp=204!!! That's 20 minutes on the elliptical for me.
I try and count EVERYTHING, little calories add up, butter here, handful of nuts there, bite of cheese later on from the breakroom at work. My rule is if it went in my mouth it goes in my log. That's why I started using this site b/c there were alot of "incidental" calories that I wasn't taking into acct. I thought a handful of m&m's no big deal, then a few doritos, then a couple of crackers with cheese, half a cookie(technically it is .5 which isn't even a full number so it doesn't count, right? )
Previous post makes a good point also, men use a TON of butter, fat, etc, If a little is good, more must be AWESOME:smile:

For sure!! I've been known to say that exact same thing about my boyfriend! If a little is good, then a lot is REALLY good!!
=P if oil is involved, I'd rather be the one cooking b/c he might put 1/4 cup in the pan!!

I try to estimate, and then definitely count it! My hubby made garlic toast tonight, and I forgot to watch him. WHO KNOWS how much butter he put on that bread! (It tasted awesome, so I am kind of scared.)
