Put spinach in my smoothies?!?!! I was skeptical….

I had read/heard from many sources that adding a handful of greens to your smoothie is a great way to get in a serving of veggies and add some 'hardiness' to the drink, but I just couldn't bring myself to 'drink spinach'.
BUT....this weekend I gave it a try, and truly I couldn't even taste the spinach. For anyone else out there that think that only health nuts can guzzle a green smoothie - I challenge you to give it a try. I'm on day 3 of a green smoothie for breakfast and loving it.
I also switched from 2% to Almond milk and adding a splash of OJ. I'm keeping the calorie count to about 200 - 250 and staying full until lunch. I found some recipes online, but really am just throwing in whatever I feeling like having. I did notice that freezing the fruit the night before help give it that 'smoothie' look and taste.

Yeah, I've just started adding baby kale mix to my smoothies, can barely taste it but good iron boost !!! I have calcitrim milk, rolled oats, frozen berries, banana, pineapple, cinnamon, nuts and flaxseed oil in mine (have been trying different things for about a year and that's what I"ve ended up with !) YUM great way to start the day eh!!0

I just started trying spinach in a smoothie too. I was told to use a 3:1 ratio, 3 veggies to 1 fruit. I haven't done that yet because I haven't found 3 veggies I want to incorporate, yet. I made one today that was awful! It was bitter and the color was literally brown (not appealing at all!).
The one I like so far is:
1 cup of green grapes
1 banana
1 cup of pineapple chunks
1/2 cup water (or juice from the pineapple)
2 cups spinach
It's a pretty color green and tasty.
I'll be experimenting more0
