What's your mantra to keep you on track?

Options
So what phrase or mantra do you tell yourself to stay on track? What resonates with you when you want to give in?

For exercise, I have 2:
"Just show up"( when I'm trying to wake up) and
"Just keep going" (once I'm at the gym and want to quit or leave)

For food, "I can have that, I don't want it".

I'd love to hear what other people's mental motivating mantra's are.

So. What's yours?!

To keep my from eating something instead of saying "I can't eat ______" I say "I don't eat____" It really helps me a ton.

Usually for working out it's a string of mental expletives (Not going to say them, don't want to get banned HAHA)

When I run or walk I say with my breathing *in with health, out with sickness* or * better than those on the couch*
And with food, I ask myself *am I hungry or why do you want this* but I generally don't have a problem with food any more.

    Keep on swimming . . . keep on swimming . . . keep on swimming . . .

From Dorie in Finding Nemo. (Note my ticker.) Losing weight isn't hard. It's tedious.

When I'm working out, I tell myself that I'm only going to disappoint myself if I don't work hard. I also try to find someone working out near me (when doing the elliptical, treadmill or stair machine) that's working hard and try to beat them or at least keep up with them. That helps me. With food, I like the saying that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels, although I'm aiming for fit, not skinny.

"Summer bodies are made in the winter."
"The only workout you'll regret is the one you skip." (well, unless you have a heart attack, I guess)

Those are the two I actually keep in mind and say aloud to myself, but I have a number of them that cycle through my wallpapers on my PC.

I LOVE THAT!! It's so true!!

This year, all 6 days of it, I've been telling myself that I'm pushing myself so that I look AMAZING in my wedding gown!

This brownie (or whatever unhealthy food it happens to be at the time) doesn't taste as good as being thin (or fit, healthy, etc.) feels.

For working out, I'm still in the process of trying to find an effective mantra, but sometimes telling myself that working out at all is better than not working out at all helps. Or, if I'm really not feeling up to, I'll tell myself to go on at least a 15 minute walk/jog, and if I still don't feel like it I can stop. Usually by that point, my mentality is "why quit now?".

    "Because I can."

Now that I've lost a significant amount of weight, it is so much easier to be physically active. So I push myself to be active, even though it's easier to stay on the couch, because I'm thrilled that I CAN BE physically active.

    BECAUSE I CAN.
