Edgar Allen Poe...I would have LOVED to have had some long discussions into the dark hours of the night.

Hard call. Buster Keaton. Or Jack Benny. (A lot of my favorite dead celebrities were real jerks in real life -- bitter, angry, egotistic and chauvinistic misanthropes -- and would not make good conversationalists. I've eliminated quite a few who would probably just tell me to jump in a lake.)

So many! As long as we're pretending that we can speak the same language too...

Leonardo da Vinci, Nostradamus... I am an atheist but I'd like to meet some religious figures: Jesus Christ, Muhammad, Buddha.

William Shakespeare. I think it would be fun to discuss how much influence his works have had on practically everything.

None of them. I don't like talking to live people, let alone dead ones. Or famous ones, for that matter.

I'd chose ancestors over famous people.
I'd love to know more about the people I came from. Good and bad.
