Am I too sore for the gym?

I should start off saying that I have just started working out properly regularly, and yesterday I went to a very high-paced cardio and weights class which was an amazing work out, but this morning I am incredibly sore!
I can't really lift my arms and it's painful to walk!
I know this is a normal thing to expect, but I am wondering if I should go to the gym today and work through it or stay at home, do a pilates DVD which will help to stretch my muscles and go to the gym tomorrow? I don't want to injure myself!

how many days per week are you planning on working out?
I would just do some stretching today, and go to the gym again tomorrow.0 -

I am freelancer so my work schedule is all over the place and different every week, but I am hoping a minimum of three days in the gym per week0
