Gained back some weight.

I popped on the scale this morning and noticed that I've gained like two pounds back. I've been exercising regularly with the exception of a few days ago because of DOMS. I've also been sticking to my calorie intake and have only fallen off the bandwagon twice. Any suggestions from anyone?

It's probably not fat, it's water/glycogen, unless you went 7000 calories over when you fell off the bandwagon with your diet. I get the same thing when I start a new routine or increase the amount of weight for lifting (if my DOMS is bad, I know the scale is going to go up a little), or if I have a few bad eating days. It'll be gone in a few days, just keep logging, staying at a deficit, and exercising.0

DOMS itself can make you gain scale weight, because what it is is soreness associated with your body repairing muscle fiber tears, and to repair the tears your body surrounds the injured tissue with fluid (water), so what you're seeing is probably water weight in the muscle tissue. It will go away.0

Do you exercise through DOMS or just do light stuff like walking?0

Personal preference. For me it depends on how bad it is. Funnily enough, exercise can often help DOMS. Just make sure you're warming up/loosening up and you'll be fine.0
