So yesterday was the day I guess (Crowded Gym)

Everyone said it was coming, and yesterday was the day at my gym. Got there after work at my normal time and the line was 10 deep at the counter of everyone wanting to sign up. The cardio equipment was packed. I had to wait to get on a bike. Luckily, the weights weren't all that crowded.

Anyway, everyone said it was coming, and it definitely has.

Good luck to them all (except the ones that prefer stationary bikes).

I drag my *kitten* out of bed early to avoid all the people who won't! I went after work one day and it was dreadful. I am actually thinking of canceling the gym gym since I joined a boxing gym in December...

Yes! I never seen so many people in my gym ever. At least I was able to get my lifts in. It was pretty courteous all around.

I went to the gym January 1st and saw the regular crowd. On January 2, forget it! It was packed. I could barely find a parking space.

Even my tiny apartment gym was full when i got off work. Luckily by 6pm it was all cleared out and I had it to myself.

I'll see how things are tonight when I go. i went on Saturday and the weight room was fine, but there was a whole lot of people there for the new classes and the cardio area was pretty full up...fortunately I don't belong to a big corporate gym; I belong to the Jewish Community Center here in town. Facilities are awesome, but I think a lot of people just don't know about it or something...when i was a Defined Fitness member, it was crazy all of the time...doubly so at New Year.

I just wish the best to the newbs though...it is a bit of a hassle dealing with the crowds in the short term, but I'm all about people bettering themselves and fitness is damned important. Just don't do curls in my power rack *****es...:flowerforyou:

I agree. Like I said, I wish all of them the best....but if some must fail, I hope it is the ones that prefer to ride the stationary bikes :) (At least till it's warm enough to get back out on real rides)

I do go to a corporate gym though, and live in the heart of the city (by OKC standards) so it is a generally crowded area to begin with. Luckily, we have an amazing gym at my office, but have always preferred the Golds near my house. That may have to change for a couple months though.

The noobs have been flooding past the counter and just walking up trying to ask me questions in the middle of my sets.

    Fun times.

Missed my classes Sunday morning and ended up leaving work late yesterday so don't know yet. Tonight I have the Personal Trainer and will see how crowded it is. There is a popular Zumba class tonight too, will see if it is even more crowded. I really think they need to watch the capacity in that room.

Of course because all they need to do is talk to one fit guy and they will have all the answers. It's that easy!

I guess we were all new once.

I just put my angry lifting face on, flex my lats like a peacock, and strom around the gym like the animal I am. The noobs get out of my way and I can do my workout in peice. If they are still around in a month, then I'll give them a head nod.
