Hello all,
I joined this site about a week ago on a whim. What an eye opener! My weight has been slowly creeping up throughout college and the last year or two, and nothing has really seemed to work for weight loss over the long term. Strangely enough, I never thought to keep a food diary and see what my eating habits truly are. After a week of tracking food (snacking!) and exercise, it is obvious I need to make some changes, and I am determined to do this the RIGHT way this time. My immediate goal is "only" to lose 20 lbs, but it seems like such a long way to go! I've never weighed this much before. I have been inspired by the support and success stories on the forums here - you all are awesome, and I would love to hear any tips people have to offer! Hopefully in a few months I'll be able to post some successes of my own :-) Boy will it be nice to fit into my old jeans again...
