Should I consider eating a tomato as a serving of fruit for the day since it is technically a fruit although it is treated as a veggie? Sometimes I don't get around to eating fruit but I eat tomatoes alot.

You could combine your goal number of servings for both fruits and vegetables, and count the tomatoes towards that number. If you are trying to eat 5 servings of fruits and 4 servings of veggies, count those tomatoes towards 9 total servings. We can spend a lot of time worrying about little things, instead of looking at the greater good we are doing to help achieve our goals. Don't sweat the small stuff!0
